Cannot believe the quality of this game, to be honest. The level of attention to detail for the level design, the compassionate posture towards its characters, the outrageous creativity packed into the visual identity of each area... it's really incredible. Controls are smooth, combat is fine at worst and pretty damn satisfying at best, and the platforming is so finely tuned. Best platforming game I've played in a very long time.

I don't know, I really enjoyed this one. I think the dungeon crawl + dating sim combo is a natural match that BFD makes good use of for the duration. That loop between isometric dungeon combat and advancing a relationship is an addictive one, and the character designs are by and large pretty compelling here. I wish the game were much longer - the ending felt rushed and there are several character arcs that definitely got short shrift, but for the most part, this was a win for me.
